1. Who is responsible for managing my information?

 

This is the Privacy Policy of Edulinkinternational Co Ltd ("we" or "us"). This website, the "Edulinkinternational Co Ltd" brand and all brochures produced in relation to it are owned and/or produced by us.  We are responsible for the collection and proper management of any personal information you submit. We will keep your personal details secure and use the information you provide consistently with applicable privacy and data protection laws and the terms of this Privacy Policy.

 

2. What information do we collect?

If you are a student who chooses to enquire or make an application through us, we will collect details that you provide in relation to that application. Information held is likely to include your name, gender, nationality, date of birth, contact details, payment details, information about your qualifications, work experience, institutions in your education history and any additional information we may need to help meet your specific educational requirements.

If you are a lecturer, tutor, teacher or administration professional who is making application through us to work at one of our partner institutions, we will collect details that you provide in relation to that application and other relevant work of a similar nature. Information held is likely to include your name, gender, nationality, passport details, photographs, scans of certificates, scans of passports, visa information, marital status, date of birth, contact details, information about your qualifications and work experience, skills including IT Skills and proficiency in relevant languages, information about the institutions in your education history and any additional information we may need to help meet the requirements of the positions sought.

If you are a marketing professional or administration professional who is making an inquiry on behalf of an Educational Institution to establish, through our services, any kind of partnership, collaboration, cooperation/exchange program with one of our other partner institutions, we will collect details that you provide in relation to that inquiry. Information held is likely to include the name, gender, nationality, contact details, position and qualification details of the institution staff relevant to the inquiry and all the additional information we may need to help meet the requirements of the partnership or cooperation program sought.

If you choose us to manage any visits or academic exchange we will collect details such as your name, contact details and details regarding the accommodation and your itinerary.

3. How do we use your information?

 

The information you provide may be used in a number of ways, for example:

  • to enable us to complete any hotel/ accommodation bookings (for academic exchanges/student travel etc);
  • to enable us to provide related management and support services for students in partner Institutions (for cooperation programs);
  • to enable us to provide suitable professional staff for the delivery, administration and quality control of academic programs;
  • to enable us to provide suitable students for study in Partner Institutions on link programs (or academic student exchanges);
  • to enable us to provide suitable students, who are not enrolled on specific link programs for study in Partner Institutions ;
  • for statistical purposes when we evaluate our range of services;
  • to personalise repeat visits to our websites;
  • to inform about other courses, or services we can provide, or we think may be of interest;
  • to manage customer service queries; and
  • to help us to provide details or information requested.

4. Who will you share my information with?

In the commission of the particular service requested by you, we may need to share your information with other parties including:

  • Other partner institutions or companies we currently have links to and their service providers;
  • Institutions, not currently our partners, who could offer suitable courses for students;
  • Other third parties who facilitate travel, accommodation or study classes on your behalf.
  • Suitable third party review administrator(s), who may contact you for feedback on services provided.

Subject to your consent, we may also pass on your information for the purposes of conducting a credit check.

5. How do you manage my information?

We may from time to time appoint other members of our partner institutions, or third party service providers, to help us manage efficient systems within the business. Some of these systems may for operational reasons be located in countries overseas. We will only transfer your information to service providers who help manage our systems, or overseas, where we are satisfied that adequate levels of protection are in place to protect the integrity and security of any information being processed and compliance with applicable privacy laws.


6. When can we contact you in the future?

With your consent, we will send you information about other relevant courses and further study or career options. We may do this by post, phone, email or SMS, unless you have told us that you do not wish to be contacted in this way. We will not share your personal data with third parties.

7. How long will we hold your information for?

We have a system of retention periods in place to ensure that your information is only stored whilst it is required for the relevant purposes or to meet legal requirements. Where your information is no longer required, we will ensure it is disposed of in a secure manner. Please be aware that our third parties may have to apply alternate retention policies on your data in line with local legislation. This information is available on request. 

8. What are my rights?

Under the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation, May 2018) your rights include, but are not restricted to, the following options:

  • confirm whether we hold any of your personal subject data
  • send you a copy of any of your personal subject data that we store
  • correcting  any inaccuracies in your personal subject data
  • adding relevant details where the personal data we store is incomplete
  • deleting (where possible, in line with legislation or obligations specified by contract) any of your personal subject data
  • cease processing your personal subject data(where possible, in line with legislation or contractual obligations)
  • requesting a copy of the personal subject data in a portable format (where possible, in line with legislation or contractual obligations)
  • cease processing any of your personal  subject data
  • opting out of any marketing material.

10. Does the policy apply to linked websites?

Our websites may contain links to other websites. This privacy policy only applies to this website so when you link to other websites you should read their own privacy policies.

11. When do you monitor telephone calls?

We may from time to time record telephone calls you have with members or our staff for training purposes and to improve the quality of our service.

12. How do we update this privacy policy?

We keep our privacy policy under regular review and we will place any updates on our webpage. This privacy policy was last updated in May 2018.
